Lacewing Greenhouses.

It was impossible to assemble this greenhouse using two people. The polycarb was so thin it bent and frayed on the edges as we were sliding it in to the runners. The greenhouse was unstable so as one piece of poly carb went into the runners another fell out. It was supposed to take 300 mins to assemble. We had several attempts and never got further than the base and the side supports. We got up one morning and the whole thing was flat on the floor it had collapsed in the night. We took it down and returned it to seller. The construction would never stand up to a gust of wind. We are not novices at putting together flat pack items. We have assembled two metal and glass greenhouses 10x8 and 6x8 in the past but this design defeated us. The whole thing is too flimsy to support its own weight. We haven't had a refund yet we returned the item three weeks ago.

Dont Buy This

Bought this from Primrose on unpacking found it to be very flimsy contacted Primrose who assured me they had sold hundreds and it would be fine so with some trepidation i set to to erect it from the start it was fairly obvious that it was so poorly designed it would not be fit for purpose however it was duly erected and within a couple of days one of the gable end panels sprung out due to the design (or lack of it !! ) it could not be replaced. I contacted Primrose and asked them for a return code as it was not fit for purpose all I got in return was the runaround they told me the guarantee did not cover used goods (although it clearly states it does) PLUSS I SHOULD NOT HAVE ERECTED IT ON A WINDY SITE !!!! It was behind a seven foot fence and well sheltered from the elements as far as a normal garden can be ! after a few more days the whole thing became unstable and we had to take it down altogether ,all in all a total waste of money we could ill afford to lose. A POOR COMPANY SELLING VERY SHODDY GOODS.

I has a similar problem with a greenhouse I bought from Greenhouse Stores. When I contacted them by phone in Dec 2013, about its total demolition in the current weather despite it being in a very sheltered environment, they were completely dismissive and, in fact, hung up on me. In fact, I the purpose of my call to them was to explain the situation and negotiate a discounted purchase of a much more expensive wood and glass greenhouse, but they told me to contact my insurers and put the phone down on me. Also, for the past two months, they have ignored an email from me explaining the above situation.

So, be very careful what you buy and from whom you buy it, as the current weather has a worrying appearance of "permanence" and you may struggle with greenhouse companies to resolve its impact.
