Polite staff that are incompetent andpetty.

I would deter anyone from visiting.staff lie and never resolve issues.can get better value better customer service and not petty dogesness that one belives are being pocketed by staff .

Needed some top soil for 2 new raised beds, notice just inside the entrance "Big bag to topsoil £50.00" I could see a pile of small bags after some searching found a member of staff and asked could I see one of these large bags, he showed me an empty bag and assured me it was top quality soil with a mix of soil improver and it could be deliverd early the following week for an extra £10.00 so ordered 2 bags as I need quit a lot

When it arrived on time I was quite pleased however the soil was rather sandy and looked quite sterile and there seemed quite a lot of broken bits of old plants was not too worried about this as some peat substitute could be added

It turned out 2 bags was too much, so I asked if they would take 1 bag back even if this included a handling charge they would not take it back made an excuse that it might be contaminated

So to sum up quality of soil not that great and diapolnted that I could not return the unused bag

I visited with my 3 years old daughter and asked the person at the checkout ( a white male late 20s/early 30s) a simple question regarding an apple tree and his reply was such that I came from an another planet and how on earth I dared asking him the question...This guy is an utter disgrace and should be removed from the garden centre...He needs to learn some manners and needs to be educated to the basic customer service.. He was lucky I was in a good mood and did not want to start confrontation for his ugly behaviour in front of my child... he is an extremely bigoted person as he made me very uncomfortable with his rude antics...people like him made this world really unpleasant place for black and ethnic minority people...

I went their a few weekends ago and for a local garden centre it was great!! The prices were very reasonable and the staff actually knew about plants - makes a change from all the large chains who are usually clueless and have staff no where to be seen

I went to Redbridge Garden Centre in Woodford Green, Essex. The service I received by some of the members of staff was poor in my eyes. On top of that some of the plants were of a poor quality. A disappointing experience for me.
