Ordered double egg chair for garden, really good price & was very easy to use website, I’m nearly 70 & was worried about ordering online & paying for something I hadn’t seen but i immediately received updates as to when to expect delivery, van driver rang to say he would be at my address within a certain time frame, delivery was excellent the guys were really helpful & friendly. Chair is amazing quality & cushions are really thick & look very hard wearing. Would defiantly buy from this company again. 10 out of 10.

On a regular visit to Hayes with my husband I purchased three small items, going through a checkout at a similar time to him going through a parallel counter, I then waited for my spouse at the end of the other checkout. When his items had been counted the person at the till turned to me and asked had I paid for the goods in my hands. I visibly had had the receipt. She questioned whether I had all the items on my receipt. She then said it is not that I don't trust you but have all the items been rung through and demanded to check my receipt. The manner in which this was said to me left a lot to be desired and I felt like a criminal and even though the proof was there that the items were purchased she was quite aggressive and I felt as though I was in the wrong. The episode has upset me and I certainly won't be shopping at your store for the foreseeable future, nor will I recommend it to others.

This episode was in front of other customers which questioned my integrity.

When subsequently reported to the checkout supervisor I was given an insincere off-hand apology which left me with no reassurance that the matter would be dealt with or that Hayes were concerned about the treatment of their customers.

If you buy something make sure it works before you leave,we bought some blue bell solar lights when we got home 70 miles away they were in bits in the bottom of the box the box was unmarked we spent £120 this visit sent hays email with till receipt number product code everything this was 2 weeks ago and we have had nothing back very poor after sales well no after sales service even a email telling me they didn't believe me would have been something we visit Ambleside 5 -6 times a year and always call at Hays time to find another to call at then they question why people buy off the internet most have excellent after sales

While the staff appeared reasonably helpful before the sale, the after-sales service is really poor. They don't return calls or reply to emails once they have your money.

They seem to have found a way of manipulating one of the other review sites - after some very poor reviews, many excellent ones arrived all on the same day.

Ordered a Bistro table and chairs but delivery from Heyes suppliers was to be longer than originally expected. The lady was extremely helpful and had no problem in cancelling my order and organising a refund to facilitate me buying something different from another supplier. She was very customer focussed and a real pleasure to do business with. I would not hesitate in buying something from Heyes Garden World in the future. No complaints at all about the service I received.

Purchased a Caledonian 6x3 vegtable bed and a 3x3 tiered raised bed. Both were cheapest of all the places we looked at. Delivery was in a few days of ordering online and even came on the Jubilee Bank Holiday. Very pleased.

Been thinking of purchasing a fish tank for some time now and went to Hayes for plants but was amazed at their new department. A guy called Alan served us and was really knowledable and they had a wide range of fish and tanks. The tanks were Juwel and were the cheapest my wife and I have seen them. We ended up buying a massive tank and it is getting delivered to our home this week. Cant praise them enough. The rest of the Garden Centre looked very well presented and they were some lovely displays. We will definately return.

I visited this store today and it was an absolute pleasure to be there. The staff were hugely helpful (despite having 2 or 3 buses to deal with at the same time) and their knowledge on all types of products was endless. I was given some fantastic tips on what plants to plant when and how best to look after them. The toilets were a way away but when i asked about this i was given a full explaination that it was due to planning regulations at the time of building (some 10 years ago now, these were also NOT outside like a previous review)

There was a huge variety of products such as jams, coats and obviously the man garden products like indoor and outdoor plants and sundries.

An excellent store with excellent staff, you can easily spend a day here. Parking is free (although i did see a clamp so look out for signs!) and they have a huge cafe.

Prices were a little on the high side i suppose but this seems like a business dedicated to providing the best for their customers so i imagine its high end stuff.

Well worth a visit

A mishmash is the best description, they seem to be unclear as to whether they want to market garden equipment, plants, seeds, clothes, furniture or anything else you can think of. The problem is that nothing is done properly. This was until recently the place to go for better quality plants seeds and advice as to planting growing and etc. Now it is smoke and mirrors and very expensive.

I ordered a garden table from Hayes and was given a date for delivery. The wrong table was delivered and after ringing the company was promised that the following week the table would be exchanged. The promised day of delivery came and went and I contacted the company who knew nothing about the conversation. Poor communication. False promises. I'm still waiting for out table to arrive. Really not impressed. There was not a congruent apology either.
