PG Tips Decaffeinated

Firstly, I have to say that I love the standard type of PG Tips tea, and have drunk it in preference to other brands for years.

That said, due to the number of cups I drink per day, I found the caffeine made me feel quite tense later in the day, so I decided to drink standard PG Tips in the morning and decaf PG Tips in the afternoon.

This has worked well, as I began to notice the difference within the first few days. However, with the latest pack of decaf, I noticed it had a strange, funny taste that wasn't present with the several previous packs that I had bought.

So I did some googling, for "PG Tips funny taste" and found the following interesting research about the decaffeination process:

I was not happy at all to learn that PG Tips used a harmful chemical in its processes, regardless of the debate about whether or not they are completely removed before packaging the end product.

I won't be buying PG Tips Decaf again for this reason. I hope others will boycott the product until PG Tips addresses this concern.

I have found a few sites on line that now carry the decaf though have not found it in any stores yet. I always stock up while in England. Love P.G. Tips and so glad that I can now enjoy it throughout the day without bouncing off the walls on caffine.
