Knorr Aromat... The

I discovered this product in the hotel I stayed at in Interlaken< Switzerland in 1984 and since then having sourced it at my local supermarket(s) my house has never been without a pot or two of it and I use it on everything; scrambled eggs, salads, fish, vegetables, meat, toasted cheese... The list is endless. Try it, you'll like it. (There are one or two ingredients that might be iff'y for some; Lactose, Celery and Wheat Starch, besides MSG (Monosodium Glutamate)).

As far as the MSG is concerned, well there are health warnings out there for this so I wonder why Knorr put this into the product... Having said this, I love the product.

Fantastic, Try It On Cheese On Toast. Toast One Si

Fantastic, try it on cheese on toast. Toast one side of the bread, add cheese and splash of Lea & Perrins,(no need for butter) place under grill, when almost melted, spread the cheese around a little and add a 'good' sprinkling of Aromat, place back under grill till bubbly. Remove from grill and eat.......delicious! (No need for salt!)

People Love This Product, Knorr Aromat, Particular

People love this product, Knorr Aromat, particularly in Switzerland where it is used very heavily in all kinds of prepared foods. In down-market restaurants and some homes you often see adults and children dousing everything they eat with it. Actually they are addicted to the key ingredient, monosodium glutamate (aka as flavour enhancer, MSG, sodium caseinate ... ) which falsely exaggerates the taste of food so that addicts find the natural tastes of fresh food too bland. Swiss food labelling laws are very lax so few people are aware of this. For many people, including myself, there is ca onsumption threhold beyond which it brings on very unpleasant headaches, thirst, a feeling that a metal band is being tightened around your head, sweating, etc. It also contains a lot of salt. Yes, there is some MSG in some natural foods but low levels of consumption seem to be OK.

Knorr Aromat Has Been A Family Favourite For Years

Knorr Aromat has been a family favourite for years although quite where we discovered it, I do not know. However we have bought it consistently for a long time now and I add it to just about every food that I eat!

It has an aromatic (hence the name) and a mildly spicy flavour with a salty taste. I add it to eggs on toast, baked beans, salads, vegetables and often use it instead of salt as a condiment on ready meals & cooked vegetables.

I recommend that everyone try it, as for 86p, it's a bargain that you must experiment with at least once!
