Good Points. Decent Portion, Nicely Cooked. Pillau
Good points. Decent portion, nicely cooked. Pillau rice very nice.
Bad points. Tesco's Finest beef madras tastes nothing like a restaurant madras.
Firstly, a madras curry should be spicy and bite back. This is as chillified as a curry with no chilli (which comes way down in the list of ingredients).
Secondly I felt the grittiness of dessicated coconut between my teeth (which comes higher in the ingredient list than chilli) in what should be a smooth sauce.
What is this obsession that premade curry makers have for sticking dessicated coconut in everything? I love coconut, but i hate it where it's not supposed to be.
Please give british consumers, who's favourite takeaway is indian/chinese, the benefit of the doubt that they can handle spicey foods and give them food that should taste similar to what they buy in restaurants.
I won't buy again.
