Chokablok Rocky Road Of Love Bar
There's something of an increase in the popularity of fun looking slabs of chocolate, covered in swirls, bits of marshmallow and fudge and so on. Some very reputable brands such as Hotel Chocolat have been producing some lovely varieties, but these tend to be quite expensive. When I saw Chokablok offering a small, 100g slab for £1.59 - more expensive than a bar of cadburys but cheaper than the fancier brands - I thought it would be worth a try.
Note: If you like chocolate, don't bother with this. It's made of the cheapest, least chocolatey "chocolate flavour" gunk I've ever tasted. Pick-and-mix mice have more cocoa in them, by the taste. It reminded me of those "chocolate flavour" cake covering bars you can buy in the baking aisle... if you attempted to eat one of those as-is.
The bar was far too sweet, tasted incredibly artificial and not at all worth the price. The company are clearly relying entirely on flash packaging and a fancy look to the bars than bothering to deliver on price. Mine went in the bin!
