Sainsbury's Crispy Apple Chips Are A Far Healthier

Sainsbury's Crispy Apple Chips are a far healthier alternative to potato chips, as well as being a welcome taste change! They are great for anyone on a low fat diet, as they contain only 3% fat. Personally, I can eat a full bag as they are so more-ish, but at 60g in each bag there is plenty to share around if you want to! Kids love them as much as I do! I suppose really you should eat half a bag at a time, as the calories stated are 106 per 1/2 bag. This would provide 1 portion of your 5 a day. The apples used are dehydrated Red Fuji apples, with a preservative of Sulphur Dioxide. They are wonderfully crispy and have an almost melt in the mouth sensation. Sweet with a slight tang of sharp. Great for packing, snacking, or even as a desert, or just for picking at throughout the day! At 99p per bag, that's great value I think. Find them down the crisps aisle!

Oh disaster! Have visited Sainsbury's today, went to pick up my apple chips, but oh! No sign of them! Looked up and down the shelves to see if they had been moved.... no..... still couldn't find them. So I asked a nearby assistant who confessed he had never heard of them, but would go and ask someone who would know. Back he came a few minutes later with the dreaded news. DISCONTINUED!!!!! So if anyone knows if anyone else makes apple chips as good, please let me know. Until then, I will be apple-chipless!! I Have another great alternative to potato chips in mind though. Parsnips!!
