Jason They Are Not The Same Thing. It Is Confusing
Jason they are not the same thing. It is confusing but come on, why would a company sell the same drink & call it two different names. Magners in the UK is owned by a company in Ireland called Bulmers. Bulmers in the UK is now owned by Scottish & Newcastle, they brought out the Hereford based company Bulmers. These 2 companies are not related and are in fact the 2 biggest rivals.

I Like Both Bulmer And Magners, Which Isn't A Supr
I like both Bulmer and Magners, which isn't a suprise being as they are actually the same.
Bulmers is the original Irish Cider, which has been sold an produced in ireland for years, but Bulmers Ltd developed the brand name Magners as an export name for their Cider, which explains why the bottle designs are very similar.
It is funny however, that when I am out drinking and come across a pub which sells both just how many comments I hear about people prefering one or the other, personally I am not bothered I wil choose either, or go for the one which has a special offer.
So, what does everyone else think, do you think that they taste the same, or maybe think that there is a slight difference between the two?
Bulmers and Magners are not the same drink. Bulmers is made by Scottish & Newcastle, and named after the company H.P.Bulmers, which Scottish & Newcastle bought in 2003.
Magners sold in the UK is a re-branded product made by Irish drinks company C&C. It is known as Bulmers in Ireland, but is renamed Magners when sold in the UK.
