Dear team I just wanted to say that my daughter had the most amazing time in Thailand and really enjoyed the hospital experience. She was lucky enough to witness a C-Section, along with various other operations etc. She has made so many wonderful friends from around the globe and said that the the team in Thailand were 'awesome' - her words. I cannot thank you enough for offering her this once in a lifetime experience. Kindest regards

hands down the best thing I could have done this summer. I went to London, England with premed and from start to finish, i had the best 2-weeks. Where do I start, the staff, unreal, always wanting the best for you and always wanting to help with whatever silly question or request i had. The other students, well you cant get to pick them but I had an awesome group! I shared with 11 other guys in a large room and we had a blast! The experience, great in the hospitals, we went to about 5 different ones I think and we visited a couple of med schools too. The only critique would be a day spent first aid training, they say it's to help with your applications as looks good but me and another few guys were already qualified so felt it was a bit of a wasted day. best thing i could have done with my summer to prepare me for med school. can't wait to be a doctor!

Had an absolute Ball in London, I didn't want to go overseas to work in a hospital, I wanted to stay in the UK and I enjoyed every part of my experience. There is hands down, no way i could have arranged all the things that Premed Projects were able to arrange and I feel more confident with my personal statement, MMI and UKcat. I feel ready to start my applications and would do it all again given the chance.

London Premed Projects This is my review of my trip to London in February 2017 In a nutshell, it was fantastic. there was a large group of us, over 30, all staying next to Tower Bridge in London in dorms. It's scary when you don't know anyone and just have to make friends but everyone is the same so its actually really easy. I made best friends with the girls in my room and over the course of the week, we did everything together. I arrived direct at the accommodation so I can't comment on how it's like to arrive at the airport or train station but when I arrived, he was waiting for me in the lobby. That evening we all had food at pizza express and it was a girls birthday - the staff already knew this and had gone and bought a massive cake and a card that we all signed, little things like that make you feel right at home. We spent our first day at St George's hospital - I have to say I may get the order of these days mixed up as it has been a few months since I got back! Here we shadowed a doctor and the day was all about neurology. he took time to explain everything you could possibly want to hear about the brain and we were able to see some human samples too included those with cancerous cells and other diseases. The next day we forst aid trained and spent the day at Imperial University becoming certified first aiders. Then we had a day at the medical society of London where medical students spent the whole day teaching us about med school, how to get in, what we need to do and making sure we were happy with the whole process. The following day we were at Whittington hospital witnessing a surgery and practicing clinical skills with the doctors too and on our final day, we went to St Batholomew hospital where doctors took us through clinical training. Each evening we had different food, I am vegetarian and had lots of choices each night. To get to the hospitals we took the tube normally, it's busy but the staff kept us together although it wasn't exactly my favorite part of the trip it has to be said! Overall, a wonderful experience, i wouldnt change a thing really, well worth the cost and if anyone is sitting on the fence I can't reccomend Premend Projects enough if that helps.

I enjoyed my time spent in London and the opportunity it provided me to learn more about medicine. I met loads of people from all over the world on the trip and found it immensely valuable for my applications to medicine from the UAE. I still mention it a lot in conversation, which shows how much fun I had I guess!

Seeing how difficult it is to get work experience in hospitals, I came across Premed Projects from my teacher as she knows how much I want to go into medicine. You really need work experience before you apply and I signed up to 1-weeks in London during February. I got the train from Manchester and when I stepped off I met at least 15 other students and the Premed Staff waiting in the station. We waited and got a bus to take us to the accommodation which was really nice. It took us a little while to get checked in but after were were we met the entire group for the forst time. There was 32 ( I think!!!) on our program which was good but bad in the same way as we couldn’t really all get to know eacherother that well as we were only there for a week but was good that we never got bored! Our rooms were very nice and all has a shower and a bathroom and I shared with 4 other girls meaning it wasn’t cramped. On our first day we went to Georges hospital and we were able to learn all about the brain and were looked after by a really senior doctor there (forgot name!) who was really nice and didn’t make the subject boring at all but rather fascinating actually. The next day we were in the royal society of medicine learning first aid and then went to the meet a senior doctor at the university of tropical medicine where we took part in her research. On Wednesday we went to Barts Hospital where we were able to learn clinical skills and shadow a doctor there and on Thursday we went to the British medical association for a day of interview and personal statement work. On our last day we went to an NHS hospital for some surgery experience. Overall I had a really great time and learnt so much from the week. I feel confident in applying now and am looking to do another experience with Premed this summer to Thailand Thanks again to the staff for being awesome and letting us have fun as well as teaching us incredible things. Thanks

I travelled from Stockport to Thailand with Premed Projects and had a great time. I’m 16 and want to become a midwife. There wasn’t anyone on my flight and I travelled alone and was met by the staff, very easy to see when I landed. We then took another flight straight away up to Chang Mai and I met up with the rest of the group. There was 25 students on my project and I stay in touch with many of them, sounds clicjed but you really do get to meet lifelong friends on the trip so don’t worry if you are travelling alone like me. The staff were all fab and would always make sure everything was fine for us in the hospitals and with ourselves. Some members of the UK office visited during my trip and we got to meet the company directors too who were all very nice and super keen we were having a good time. A litte tip is to bring some insect repellant as a few members of my group were bitten and didn’t bring any with them and also to take small notes as sometimes changing the larger ones was tricky in some smaller places. Thailand is a wonderful country and we got to see 6 different hospitals during my trip. Every morning we were met by the hospital staff who all had smiles on their faces, really happy we were there. The food and accommodation were all great and I would recommend anyone to go, I had an amazing time!

Fantastic time in Thailand back in August. Oil and Ploy were fantastic in looking after and letting us see their beautiful country. The hospital time was great and something I would have never been able to get over here. Just do it!

17 years old and my first trip abroad without family and I loved every minute of it. I arrived at the airport nervous and not knowing what to expect but found our leader in Terminal 5 with no problems and got to know the rest of some of the students who had arrived by plane. I had a long 13 hour flight from Hong Kong and I did have to wait another 2 hours in London airport before we took the tansport to the hostel so when I got there I was very thankful to see my bed! We had a few hours to settle in and choose our beds then we had a welcome from our leaders and a group dinner. The next day we went on sightseeing around London and to the London dungeons which was a god way to scare us all into getting to know each other ☺ The hospital work began the next day with us visiting the dissection room and mortuary in the hospital. We were allowed to see the Cadavers and had a truly memorable day there, I never ever imagined we would be able to see this before I apply to university. We had a talk from current medical students and the next day went to another hospital, this time for a dissection 2 day workshop which was great fun. We volunteered in care homes and worked with many doctors during the 2 weeks too. The staff were eager to help at all times and stayed in the accommodation on the floor below, meaning we were allowed to have fun together with our new friends but always have them close if they were needed. We went to see Book of Mormon at the theatre and had many chances to shop and see all of the London sights too. I genuinely have made friends on this trip that I will keep in touch with forever and have work experience for medicine, volunteer experience and all the information I need for ucas forms and interviews so do feel equipped for when I start the process. If you are international student thinking of studying medicine in UK then I would recommend Premed Projects to you to go on.

Thank you for giving our daughter the chance to undertake PreMed work experience in India. It was a fabulous opportunity for her, and one which really helped her to crystalize her career plans. In particular, it was a real privilege for her to be able to watch a surgical operation, in which a patient's gall bladder was removed. This experience is not offered in UK hospitals to students of 16, and so was of great benefit to her in terms of deciding her own future direction in medicine. It was also a real privilege for her to be allowed to shadow some very busy doctors, gaining an understanding of the pressures that medical practitioners are under in a country with a spiralling population. The GP she shadowed, in particular, was most accommodating and managed to find time in a gruelling schedule to discuss the difference between an auto-immune disease and an allergic reaction, for example. I would also like to thank the teacher trip leader, who went out of his way to find interesting places for the students to visit when they where not in the hospital, and who managed to get the balance between safety and opportunity exactly right.

A huge thank you to Oil and the rest of the Premed team for my trip. We spent the first week in Chiang Mai in north of Thailand where we did sightseeing, and went to 3 different hospitals, clay pot making, cookery courses, elephant bathing and walking. My second week was in Bangkok where we visited another 3 hospitals, markets and temples. The guys were so amazing in organizing my trip and everything was included, from all lunches to entrance fees to activities too. The house in our second week was not as nice as the first week but it wasn’t too much of a problem and I have made lifelong friends on this trip.

I did the London project this summer. We visited imperial med school, St georges hospital, St Thomas’ hospital amongst many others. I particularly liked the workshops on applying to medical school which were informative and really useful when it comes to applying in October to medical school. Our hostel accommodation was really fun and we had a great time there getting to know eachother. A huge thank you to the staff team, nothing was too much trouble for them and they were amazing. Thank you!

Initially, when I signed up for premed I was nervous, thinking that I would struggle to fit in with other students or would find the tasks too challenging. However, premed was one of my best experiences, I loved the people on my course, the activities were accessible and enjoyable, and though we were engaging in medical tasks with being in London and being allowed to roam around London the experience felt very relaxed. I would definitely recommend to those who wish to pursue a career in medicine.

The first thing i did just before paying for my premed projects trip to india for my half term was check this site for a review. There where only 4 but all gave giving 4 stars or more. I was still sceptical because of the vague detail though. My group members also went through a similar dilema. It was spectacular. after meeting the other students at the airport we where all taken to a halfway house and then on to the service lodge where we would be staying for the next 6 days. it was way up in the mountains so the day where pretty warm and the night astonishingly cold( but they had really thick blankets so all was well). During about school hours (9am-3pm) we went to a large local hospital, wherein we shadowed the doctors and watched them diagnos and treat their patients. The most common ailments where kidney stones, diabetes and inflamed bladders so we saw a lot of ultra sounds and the uses of endoscopes. All the doctors and are care takers spoke english. there are recommended jabs that i suggest you take such as hepatitus. (i did not take any due to unforseen circumstances but did not get sick at all (i used hand sanitizer a lot)) malaria medication is not required for palumpur. during the evening we went shopping when we felt like it or played badminton or cards. the food ranged from plain to delecious. but it was always nice. My group had around 8 people in it so it was great and we got along suprisingly well. by the end we where all pretty close. this trip is definetly a must. The sights you will see the people you will meet and the pictures you will take will be legendary. (i suggest you bring a nice camera not a nokia lumia 1300) all the food was either vegetarian or vegan which made it easy for some of us to eat. I have a lot more good things to say about this trip but i've run out of time and i didn't want to forget to right this later. sorry for the spelling mistakes. the trip i went on was india to palumpur during half term 2016

At 16 I was very nervous and my parents were about travelling alone to India but after weeks of asking I managed to get my parents to agree to let me join the india project. I travelled a few weeks ago and had such an amazing time seeing India with other students and the time spent in the hospitals was truely eye opening and an amazing experience. I spent time in obstetrics and saw c sections, saw general surgeries too and just so much more than I could have ever dreamed of seeing! The staff team were great, our leader was very friendly and all the India staff too were so friendly and looked after us very well. One thing that could have been improved is to let us have more time to explore the local area one in Palampur but we did get escorted tours and shown all the sites.

Hi I am sending my 16 year old daughter to India at the end of this month and am a little concerned. Is there anything you could tell me to resolve those fears. Did you always feel safe. How much contact did you have with your family?

I was nervous booking a trip to India at 16 and my parents were too but im so pleased I did and had the best time. I travelled to India with Premed Projects during my school holidays. This was honestly the best trip ive ever been on and it opened my eyes so much to medicine around the world and how lucky we are in the western world to have access to the facilities we have. The whole journey made me see that medicine is universal but that we all practice it in different ways and it made me determined to be a doctor and I’m sure ill have lots of great stories to tell interviewers to make them see how much I am ready to be a doctor now. I met so many different people and made many new friends from all around the world on this project and I wouldn’t change anything for the world. If you are thinking about doing it, just do it and you wont be disappointed.
