“Order now if you want it for Christmas”

When I ordered my sofa, they just finished the foundations of a new four apartment block across the street. At the end of next month the first tenants are moving in, but I won't have a sofa yet. So unless you are happy to wait longer for a sofa than it takes for a brand new building to be built, I cannot recommend this company. We have read your review and as you have not yet received the goods to offer a balanced view or our service and goods, we feel your comments are unfair and unwarranted.

In perspective your order may be 1-2 weeks late potentially and we are working to improve this timeline.

We quote 9-15 weeks and most orders are well within this time but due to the fact that we batch and consolidate goods for shipping in full containers, some customers receive earlier than others. It is rare orders are late, but yes sometimes they are late as are many challenges to offering goods at half price and in an efficient manner. A challenge that we are continually improving and revising as well as reducing delivery times.

We would also advise you that 9-15 weeks means potentially 9 but up to 15 weeks meaning you should at least allow 15 weeks for the order. We also state on the website that sometimes delays occur so a sensible buffer may be adopted by some customers to avoid problems with any deadlines.

Our service offers a great very many benefits to our customers unobtainable elsewhere or with other companies, however as with any new concept and way of doing things, absolute 100% efficiency has yet to be achieved.

This is our aim.

Dear Customer, Thank you for your review. Sorry that the product was not entirely as expected and we note your comments about accuracy of the photography. I would like say most of the products we sell leave no room for ambiguity in the detailed features of items as we put all the information we can on each product. This item and situation is extremely rare as it does have some more unusual features but we believe they are clearly present on the imagery. I would suggest a professional could replace all the buttons with a more appropriate pleasing button at your request. If you need help with this we can offer our national firm to help and we would offer this service at cost price which is probably half of that available to you otherwise. Delivery times are and always have been between 9-15 weeks and this is hence why we can offer superior quality as acknowledged by you. This is where the apparent confusion may be regarding our customer service , because we are updating bases on this timeline not a 12 week timeline. Noted re: buttons. It's the martino sofa- I think you need to amend the description. The fake diamond effect buttons are not clearly obvious in the imagery of the sofa and to suggest this is the case and that I didn't look closely enough I do not agree with. I guess anyone reading can look at the pictures of the sofa and make their own mind up.

I would like more pleasing buttons so would potentially be interested in this offer- can you reply to my email that I sent, when you get round to checking them, with further details?

In fairness to Delux Deco they have resolved the issue I had with the buttons (which pretty much every visitor we have had to our house has commented on- such a bizarre design feature in the first place). They sent replacement colour coded buttons as promised; took a while but that wasn't a problem and they were free of charge which was very good of them.

The sofa now looks fantastic and after six months use it looks nicely worn in. The leather is quality and really thick (I remember getting samples from another sofa company who were in the same price range but the leather was wafer thin in comparison) and despite the issues with distinct lack of replies/updates on occasion I would use this company again as their prices are pretty much unbeatable for what you get.

“Massive delays, non-existent customer service”

I ordered a sofa on Dec 31st 2014. It was supposed to be delivered within 6-8 weeks. Following much chasing it finally arrived in the middle of April. The online tracking system wasn't any use. Would just say things like delivery delayed. Grey sky fabric on sofa is also not very nice; a bit shiny, a strange grey and looks very much like a man-made fabric (which it is - mostly polyester). Sorry to hear of your issues however we don't have any products that are available for delivery in 6-8 weeks. All our items have delivery times published with each product and most are 9-15 weeks. Given the incorrect expectation of the delivery time, the tracking system will not sync to your expected time but the actual timing being 9-15 weeks. We order on your behalf and fabric samples are free and available prior to ordering. Yes - it is polyester as it says on the product in the main description which were free to request and view to verify your purchase decision. It is regrettable that you are dissatisfied but we do urge customers to please read the information with each product prior and details regarding the ordering process which are published all over our website and on the order confirmation. “Great products let down by terrible customer service”

First of all I have to say our sofa and dining table are brilliant quality and we love them. Definitely worth the wait. The only thing letting the company down is the terrible customer service. Part of our sofa that was made to order arrived incorrect, which meant that we only have 2/3 of the sofa we ordered and we now have to wait at least 9 more weeks to get a complete sofa. “Delays, damage and very poor customer service ”

Extremely poor customer service - be warned if you have ordered from this company it will not arrive within the timeframe stated. We were promised our sofa within 14 weeks (could be earlier). In fact, it turned up 17/18 weeks after the date of purchase and the company cited "delays at Customs" on a regular basis. We are not perfect and we do deliver genuine value. Most customers receive goods in the stipulated time frames and the process works well however some are late on occasion. This can be due to external factors and all communications are primarily by email as this is the most efficient way to deal with issues. “Slow delivery & slow response to queries”

Having ordered a corner sofa early in January, it went into production in just over 2 weeks. Decent start albeit at the higher end of the estimate. The advice from there is that it will be 3-4 weeks in production. Over 7 weeks later and it is still in production. The delivery date being forecast is in May. That's over 16 weeks and it is only an estimate. Given the history to date, I fear it may be longer. I finally received a call from a director, yesterday following the most offensive email from their sales team in response to my multiple phone calls.

He does seem genuine but has admitted that I will not see the couch I until late May or early June. 5 months to wait. Fault with China and their New Year holidays seems to be all that can be offered along with an apology and compensation.

I can also only hope it isn't a scheme.

Hi, I represent Delux Deco and I can assure there is no scheme as you put it. What possible scheme could there be ? Payments are by credit card and customers have 100% purchase protection via there credit card providers. Simply the goods were ordered which are 60+ % off and they are late. That's all. Sometimes we have logistics issues at the port or origin due to customs, there are shipping companies and port authorities in the UK and various other reasons why very occasionally some orders or shipments get delayed. We have thousands of very happy customers and unfortunately a few that are not. This is regrettable and we are working hard to eliminate any lateness and improve customer communication.
