After our Redfrye range went kaput on Christmas Day a few years ago, we had to choose a new range. A very long and boring story ensues, but after debating an Aga, among others, we chose the Lacanche Macon. Ordered just before Covid-19 got in full swing we were firstly impressed with the updates we received about our new Macon from Lacanche. Dates were given for delivery and thankfully met. We’d purchased through a great dealer in Harrow, Range Cooker Showroom. They installed and sorted disposal of the old range. The Macon is lovely, the design is really smart and the overall range is super solid. Christmas lunch for 19’was a cinch. The multiple burners have great power and the central plate is great for warming etc.
A year after installation we did have an issue with the on/off switch for the gas oven. No issue for Lacanche customer service. They arranged an engineer, as it was close to Christmas (yes there’s a common theme!) I was panicking it wouldn’t be fixed. No issue they got the engineer to call ahead to talk through the issue to make sure he had any necessary parts. He arrived as scheduled and quickly recognised and fixed the problem, also checking all other aspects were in order. A really professional, friendly and knowledgeable chap.
