A really good read. The first Melanie Jackson we found, and immediately led us to try to get the rest (without using the evil Amazon). I read Dracula, Frankenstein and HP Lovecraft at school (well over half a century ago). This book updates the stories really well. Good characterisation, very believable (and yes, I am a scientist who worked on biological research). A few points in the science are a bit iffy, but they do not detract from the story.

One point about this site "preloved" is so naff!!!!!
