Temporarily Tucked Away From Terrestrial Schedules

Temporarily tucked away from terrestrial schedules, Early Doors is a minor comedy classic which unerringly captures the backchat and small talk of a handful of loyal regulars at a rundown northern pub which still retains the beating heart of the community.

Deadpan co-writer Craig Cash, who previously displayed his wry skills for dialogue in The Royle Family, has a burgeoning talent to amuse which is fully exploited by an ensemble cast so good they could almost have been plucked wholesale from the nearest tavern.

Working within the strictures of a fixed set and seldom straying beyond a limited core of characters, Mr Cash and his squad are creating quality entertainment, enhanced by witty throwaways and droll interplay and the occasional dash of pathos.

Early Doors may be unheralded but it is quite simply the best comedy series on TV since The Office..

Early Doors Is A Little Sitcom Set In A Pub In Man

Early Doors is a little sitcom set in a pub in Manchester. It is written by Craig Cash who co-wrote the Royle Family and follows a very simular line of comedy. Not much ever really happens, and many of the jokes are kind of sad, however it really works. The humour is subtle and relies on the characters. The 2 coppers in it are hilarious. If you enjoyed the Royal Family then this is for you.
