Gossip Girl

I think gossip girl is a fantastic series. It is set in another world with a lot of glamour and marvelous actions and sometimes maybe the series is also touching.

I think every actor plays very well but I think Chuck and Blair give the most suspense to the series. The dresses are always amazing and you see a lot places in New York and sometimes also other cities where they film the series.

So you absolutely have to watch this series and you will be hooked.

Gossip Girl is ridiculously addictive and far superior to other American TV dramas aimed at teenagers, such as the bland, unimaginative 90210. Gossip Girl translated brilliantly from the books to the screen, with some slight tweaks that made it even better. It's not even a guilty pleasure as everything about the programme is actually pretty cool. The characters are well developed and interesting, especially Blair, the 'Queen B' and resident mean crazy girl, and the 'bad boy' Chuck Bass, who is played brilliantly by Ed Westwick who is actually English, and doesn't get nearly enough screen time in the first series compared to bland pretty boy Nate Archibald (played by Chace Crawford). The music especially deserves a shout out - it is nothing you'd expect from creator of the OC, Josh Schwartz. Gone is the whiney, cheesy mainstream American rock - instead there's lots of new bands from all over the world - The Teenagers (France) and England's very own Friendly Fires and The Kooks. The soundtrack is incredibly listenable (OMFGG) and has actually widened my taste palate. I've gone on quite a lot but one last thing: the FASHION. Amazing!

OK guilty secret time, this show rocks. Gossip Girl is a coming of age drama of the New York elite. These students have it all, money clothes, invites to all the best parties yet just like the rest of us still missing something.The main story centres around the 'cool' gang and how they try to put others down via gossip either to make themselves look better or revenge. Normal high school stuff just with more money and technology thrown in.I like Gossip Girl as it is the sort of show where you don't have to think, (unlike Lost or Heroes) and you are still entertained. The storyline and plot of the show ticks over at a comfortable speed so there is also sometimes to keep you watching.
