Andy Bush

I love Absolute especially Christian and crew and Frank Skinner but Andy Bush! He is not funny and his voice is monotone. Nothing personal but I enjoy the banter as much as the music.

I Appreciate That Some May Like Bush And Donaldson

I appreciate that some may like Bush and Donaldson but I have never found anyone who actually likes them. they try too hard to be funny and it just doesn't work. Bush is basically a hospital DJ who got lucky and Donaldson tries to hard to think of alternative 'cool' words when the one in his head will do nicely (jake bugalugs, billy bank holiday blah blah). I have never been compelled to write a review like this but they annoy me so much. I have decided to not listen from after the breakfast show up until home time show, which is a shame.

Great, I love Absolute Radio. Really does lift the spirits. However the adverts can be tedious but I guess this pays the bills. Overall very good station.

I agree. He is totally wrong for Absolute Radio. His mindless prattle irritates me and he doesn't seem to have heard of many classic acts. His remarks are just not intelligent enough for the station. Get rid of him!

Absolute Radio

All the DJ's are excellent apart form Andy Bush send him back to Heart hes RUBBISH. His show is like Hospital Radio but worse if I had to listen to him all day I would rather be deaf.

Absolute Radio

Having listned to Virgin radio since its birth and then Absolute radio, i am sadened to hear how it has all gone down hill. All though the quality of music played is the same there is less of it and more worthless chat. I love listening to the radio when i am driving to work at around 7am but now i have switched stations because of the lack of music played on Absolute. My car journey last 30 minutes and in that time i would be lucky to hear two tracks. The rest is taken up with pointless chit chat about nothing by DJ's who are not funny and not interesting. They seem to be full of self importance. In short a bit like BBC radio 1 and Chris Evans on BBC Raio 2. WHAT A SHAME!!!!

I have also noticed more adverts and anoying interludes about the qualities of Absolute and sister stations.

Come on ABSOLUTE, get back to basics. GOOD MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!

I Am An American Who Listens On The Internet. I Lo

I am an American who listens on the internet. I loved this station when it was Virgin Radio. I would have given it 10 stars then--they introduced me to so many great British alternative bands. Since becoming Absolute, it has sadly slipped to a much lower spot. Now we get rewarmed 80s stuff. Blah. I find myself listening to xfm a lot more now. I like to hear new bands, if I wanted to hear 80s stuff, I can get that from American radio at about six different spots on the dial. Too bad, this was a great, great station.

I Liked Virgin Radio Before It Changed To Absolute

I liked Virgin Radio before it changed to Absolute. Now it is garbage. DJ's too full of their own self important 'celebrity'status. Adverts for the station are incredibly annoying with a loud man shouting in a posh voice almost as irritating as the opera 'Go Compare' TV adverts. I have trried to persevere with it but can no longer listen for longer than five minutes. Hope it has a revamp soon.

We Have Tried Out Several Digital Radio Stations A

We have tried out several digital radio stations at work but we keep returning to Absolute Radio (formerly Virgin). It seems to keep most people mostly satisfied. They have a no-repeat music policy from 9am to 5pm, the DJ's keep chat to a minimum (and even then it's not inane bonkers like some other stations). The music is mainly a mixture of late 70s, 80s, 90s and noughties mainstream rock (some soft-rock, a bit of hard-rock, alternative, post-punk, new-wave, REM, Blondie, OMD, INXS, Police, Jam, Clash, Fleet Foxes, Doves, Elbow, Echo & the Bunnymen etc. etc.). For a commercial station there aren't that many ads (bad luck Absolute), but what ads there are are on a pretty regular rotation which can be a bit irritating (unfortuately the no-repeat muisc policy does not extend to ads), but that is a very minor gripe.

I love Absolute Radio. It's superb to be able to listen to real music all day. I hope this is the final revamp for a while!
