My Pignose G40v Is Small But Loud When Required, 4
My Pignose G40V is small but loud when required, 40w valve amp. Essentially a Bassman ie: 3x12AX7 and 2x6L6 with a 10" speaker. Additional gain stage allows drive at lower volumes. Not Marshall gain, but Hot Rod Deluxe sylie, but has wonderful articulate character. Tweed tones with 'body'. Can do Neil Young Grunge applenty without pedals! Drives an external setup fantastically up to a 4x12 with ease - here it is where it shines. It has cheap cab construction, standard valves a bit monophonic, cheap knobs. But keeps it affordable.
20x the quality of any 5w jobbie and it can do gigs without assistance! Can be got for same price of 5w and cab if hunt about. THIS is the all round practice amp you should have AND be able to gig with without fuss.
