I've Owned An Orange Rockerverb 50 Head For Around
I've owned an orange rockerverb 50 head for around 3 years since upgrading from the rocker 30 (no 'verb on the 30 which is a shame coz this head sounds great clean). I use it on top of a marshall 4x12 with vintage 30's.
The 'verb 50 sounds awesome through both clean and crunch channels and was bought using my ears after comparing to Marshall, Vox, Mesa, ...
Our rock set covers everything from RHCP through to RATM/Metallica and the head delivers on every track.
Also like the effects loop and channel/reverb switching on the back as my effects board is built around a G-LAB GSC-2 switching system so I can change from clean/verb to angry/straight with one press.
Try it with your ears and remember although expensive I don't plan on buying another amp for a long time! (Well, except a nice little valver for use at home, tiny terror anyone?)

The Orange Rockerverb 50, When Paired With A Nice
The Orange Rockerverb 50, when paired with a nice guitar (American Strat, Les Pau, or PRS) will sound glorious. You'll get great sustain, and red hot liquid fire tone out of this monster. The higher you go on the volume the better the sound gets. Do yourself a favor and get an Orange cab to go with it, they sound very tight and powerful.I've been playing guitar for 12 years and I've played a lot of good amps including Fenders, Marshalls, Category 5, Peaveys, Vox, etc. To me this amp does some things that I've not heard in other amps, namely the distortion is like no other, and it just has it's own signature growl, that is and can only be Orange. The distortion just has a warm analog sound to it that just oozes tone. And the clean channel is equally beautiful sounding. Give it a try and make sure you turn it up to at least 5 or 6 to get the idea of what this thing can do!
