Gallien Krueger 1001 RB-II

Gallien Krueger 1001 RB-II has a great Sound, Great Power, lightweight, only 2 rack spaces. Easy controls, not a lot of unnecessary eq functions or built in effects to deal with. Just good, raw, bass power with the correct frequencies. I bought a Peavey Tour 700 and had nothing but problems.

I bought the GK instead and LOVE IT. After 26 years of Peavey Power for bass, I'm sure that I won't go back.

The Gallien Krueger 1001 RB-II bass amp has an incredibly BIG low-end sound. The kind of sound that you can feel in your chest even at low volume. Its so amazing that you will definatly want one if you play one. Less than six months after purchase, it quit working (lights and fan come on but that's it). This amp was not abused. One day it worked fine, the next day it did not. A tech has had it for three weeks now and, as of today, still does not know what is wrong. I was told from the place where I bought the amp, that a "bench fee" of about "$25-$50" may have to be paid to the tech, even though it's still under warranty. In the meantime, I've had to borrow a friends amp for practice three days per week and local gigs 3-4 days per month. If this had been a brand new car, I would have been given a free rental while being fixed. For the price I paid for this amp, maybe I should have bought a car.
