I Have Used Roland Products For Some Time And Like

I have used Roland products for some time and liked the sound of the reviews that I had read about the RD300GX. I have a Alesis QS8 which I have had since 1998, and to be frank, the sounds on the Alesis are far superior to the Roland (apart from some digital noise on some sounds). What lets the Alesis down, is the Midi achitecture but of course the Roland is an easier propect from the Midi point of view.

Do I regret buying the Roland RD300GX? Yes. There is too much button pushing on the Roland RD300 to get to the sounds you want. I have an old Roland JV-30 too and that is much easier to navigate. It would take me too long to go into all the reasons I'm somewhat unhappy with the RD300 - Ah well, never mind, I'm stuck with it now.
