Wensen Silver Plated

I started playing this Wensen Silver Plated flute again after a 20 year hiatus and it was a great improvement over the antique I had been given by a friend. It played adequately for the first year of nearly daily playing of beginner music, while I was very careful with it. Unfortunately, a good rubbing with a cleaning cloth to buff it up when I joined a concert band was all it took to put something out of position rendering it impossible to play anything in the upper register. I was able to have it repaired but the repair company will not warranty the repair because they recognize the fragility of the instrument. I was told it may last me another few months if I'm very careful with it, but I'm already noticing that it is less responsive after only 2 weeks, now that I'm being challenged by more difficult music to play. I would not recommend this brand to anyone. The finish on the mouthpiece and anywhere my fingers rest is wearing off, too. Fortunately it was very inexpensive.
