Recently Got A Melody Maker For X-mas,

Recently got a melody maker for x-mas,

Very excited as this is my first gibson, put a new set of strings on it, set them in and realised this is the worst intonated guitar i have ever played.

I own 10+ guitars and ones at £50 have been in tune better.

This is due to the famous wrap around tailpiece which to be blunt is aweful.

I replaced this with a wrap around tailpiece and bridge combined, set the intonation and played one really sweet guitar.

Although this is the cheaper model ,spend a small amount of cash and ul end up with a gibson at a fraction of the price.

Tuners are gibson deluxe and solid mahogany body. much better than any epi i have played, would recommend this guitar.

also the tiny single coil can do more than they give it credit for.

Good little pick up.

If you can get it for around £250 , youl have yourself a bargain.
