I Went To The Store And Had My Heart Set On A Tele
I went to the store and had my heart set on a Telecaster. They showed me some other Tele-like models. I didn't like them. Stay away from tribute Tele's. (JUNK) I was searching for a guitar I could play through a PA and two amps I have. This was it since I am not putting out the money for an American made Tele. I have been playing for 35 years and I finally got the sound I wanted. Play mostly country/gospel/worship music.

The Model Telecaster I Am Talking About Is The 60t
The model Telecaster I am talking about is the 60th anniversary Mexican Telecaster. I bought this guitar having played older Tele's, and I was excited to hear the sound from this one. Much to my amazement, the fret board rattled more that a snake does when it's about to attack. When it comes to tuning hardware, let's just say I could probably do a better job holding the strings in place with one hand and playing with the other.
There is absolutely no mid range whatsoever, and the low ends were terrible. I know that these guitars are geared towards that country twang sound, but this twang that Fender speaks of is an annoying squealing that will make you want to put your head through a cement wall then eat some mac and cheese.
If you are planning on buying this guitar, stand up and kick yourself in the butt and rethink.
I disagree with this review because...I have a 98 Mex tele and find none of these things. To me it just shows how little the person knows about guitars. My 98 Mex tele is very comparable to my 68 USA Tele
I have been playing a Mex Tele and find in your review you are showing how little you know about a guitar. All the problems you listed I have not had any of them occur and find my 98 Mex tele very comparable to my 68 USA model
What kind of amp are you plugged into?Did you get your Tele set up properly before taking it home? The tuners on mine are just fine and it plays and sounds great!A proper setup is usually part of the purchase, take it back to the store and have these problems taken care of.Also this tele is very quiet for a single coil guitar. This is a fine instrument at this price,I've been playing over 25 years btw.
