The Holy Grail Of Epiphone Les Pauls

The ultimate in Epiphone Les Pauls. The Midnight Special is an absolute beast of a guitar. They're incredibly hard to find as only 500 were built and I scoured the planet until I found one. One of the best guitars I've ever owned. I'm a guitar collector as well as a semi-professional musician and out of all the brands I've owned (and occasionally endorsed,) such as Schecter, ESP, Ibanez, Fernandes, PRS etc, this is one of the best guitars I've ever encountered. The only two instruments I've ever played that could match it are my Jackson King V and Gibson LP Custom, both of which were Custom Shop instruments. Deep-carved top, gorgeous rosewood fretboard, unchambered solid mahogany body and those howling, growling EMG pickups. If you can find one of these weapons, do whatever you have to do to end up owning it.

The Epiphone Les Paul Custom Limited Edition "midn

The Epiphone Les Paul Custom Limited Edition "Midnight" is good for clean sounds or for rhythm. it is a monster of a guitar and u will be hard pressed to find one as chunky and dark sounding. mine is tuned to drop B and the combination of the Active pickups and the solid mahogany body make it sound chunkier and heavier than pretty much everything ive played. is just as good as an equivilant gibson for a third of the price and is made very well. i rate the hell out of this guitar and if you like metal and if you can still find one then id recommend it for sure.

my only negative would be 22 frets but ive got 2 string guages on it. the top 3 are 11-48's and the bottom 3 are 10-52's and i have no problems with tension so u dont need 56's to play B tunings on this guitar in my opinion.

I Recieved My Mlp As A Christmas Gift, And I Could

I recieved my MLP as a Christmas gift, and I couldn't be happier. The low E was cut a tad too deep on the nut, but that was the only flaw. I replaced the stock nut with a graphite nut and now the MLP is beyond amazing. Great sounds from finger-pcked classical to outright heavy metal jams. Pickups are voiced more towards the metal crowd, but a quick twist of the tone knobs will nab you whatever tone you are looking for. I highly recommend it if you're lucky enough to find one!

I agree with this review because mine is sounding just the same - from metal to classical Les Paul. Rock on - greets from Joe :-)

I Agree Completely With The Previous Review. I've

I agree completely with the previous review. I've had my Epiphone Les Paul Custom Limited Edition "Midnight" guitar since October 2005, and I have been playing it non-stop since. I've been playing guitar for 15 years now, and I must admit that Epiphone hit the nail on the head perfectly with this little beauty, and for relatively cheap price of $700US you get a guitar that is almost completely indistinguishable from a Gibson custom. Probably one of the best guitar purchases I've ever made. Buy one if you can, you won't be disappointed!

This Is What You Get From The Limited Edition Of T

This is what you get from the limited edition of the Epiphone Les Paul custom:

Active EMG pick-ups, black hardware, perfect finish and craftman's art., wonderful details, a sound with never-ending sustain, and even more tonal variety than you could expect from a classical Les Paul.

The mahogany body and neck are simply a dream and the weight is 3.8kg.

What more can I say? The custom Les Paul in black rules. Not much left to top that thing.

Yes, you can sound like metal with this axe, but you can let it sing as well. Think it is versatile enough for more styles - the most important thing is the fun you will have with it!

i take it the sound is metal through and through or am i wrong?
