Overall, The Festival Creates A Round, Sweet Sound
Overall, the Festival creates a round, sweet sound. It is a great choice for any professional. Second only to the Tosca. I definitely recommend the Buffet-Crampon Festival.

I Own A Pair Of Buffet Festivals - They Really Do
I own a pair of Buffet Festivals - they really do make a lovely sound and the workmanship is sound. My only gripe is that the intonation isn't very consistent throughout the instrument. This wouldn’t be a problem for a professional. Anyone studying at University etc… would probably be better off with something more reliable.
I totally agree. As a pro symphony player, intonation is of primary imporrtance to me. The high D and E Flat are about 15 cents flat no matter what fingering is used, and this is totally unacceptable. Problem could not be rectified by one of the best clariinet repair techs in the country, and for that reason, I sold my Festival and went back to the R 13.
Other than intonation, the horn has a good sound and the action is excellent. If you are not familiar with the left hand E flat key, you will find it of little use; many pros remove this key from Festival and Prestige models.
