The Vintage Icon VJ96 is a remarkably pleasing instrument. An ebony fretboard might have further enhanced the tone of the instrument, but its inclusion might have made it less accessible to a discerning public. Was it neccessary to reproduce the iconic look of Jaco Pastorius' bass?
