This Is Really A Nice Instrument. Clarity & Const

This is really a nice instrument. Clarity & construction are true to Fender standards. The bass is made in Indonesia and is constructed far better than Mexican Fender products. Tonal quality is really wonderful. My only complaint is that after using the instrument for a year the pots are becoming scratchy sounding--the beginnings of failure, and the single coil pickups do buzz a bit. Regardless, this $350.00 bass is comparable to $800.00 instruments easily on many levels.

As A Bass Player For Around 45 Years, I Was Disapp

As a bass player for around 45 years, I was disappointed by the amount of setting up which I had to carry out myself to make this otherwise good value instrumant remotely playable. On arrival from supplier, it did not play well. Intonation and string height had not been set up at the bridge. I did this myself. There was still very noticeable buzz from the strings when played and even more noticeable when slapped. I adjusted the truss rod by slackening it almost 1 full turn - trial and error - and this improved the buzz where the strings rattled against some of the frets.

I will probably replace it very soon with a different bass guitar.
