Oceans Eleven (David Holmes)

The Oceans Eleven Soundtrack was slightly disappointing as several tracks from the movie do not appear on it. My advice is to check the tracklisting carefully before buying, especially if you're buying it for a particular song. Most songs are good and there is certainly a great deal of variety on the CD with jazz, funk and also hip-hop. Several tracks however contain dialogue. David Holmes fans will definitely enjoy the soundtrack, most may find the dialogue slightly annoying.

The Oceans Eleven soundtrack has a brilliant and diverse range of music from the original compositions by David Holmes, to Elvis' A Little Less Conversation to lounge classics by Perry Como to classical pieces by DeBussy. Unfortunately, much of the enjoyment of these tracks is spoiled by the addition of dialogue from the film over the music. If I'd wanted the dialogue I'd have bought the DVD of the film. I wanted the music so I bought the soundtrack. Oh well.
