Me being a huge Pink Floyd fan I would rate this album as one of their best works. I was very impressed by this album.

Obscured By Clouds Is Not Very Well Known But Cont
Obscured by Clouds is not very well known but contains hidden gems from Floyd's best era. It's actually a film soundtrack from "The Valley" (which I've not seen, but it's something to do with a trip into the jungle or something).
There are enough good songs on here to satisfy even the most exacting taste, and a couple that spring to mind are:
Childhood's End. Slow, shuffly bluesy, nice lyrics, quite memorable.
What's Uh The Deal. This is beautifully crafted, executed and sung. Lovely guitar and piano lines, just top drawer pink floyd (or anyone else come to that). It's for this song alone that I would implore you to buy it.
The rest of them are good without being fantastic, with the exception of the more other-worldly Absolutely Curtains, which i love, and has a wonderful (world music fans, take note, this was 1972) native chant merged in as the coda. Very unique, and a great effect.
If you're a true pink floyd hack, you know this album already... if you're not, it's owning stuff like this that gets you the merit, and the enjoyment, of knowing some of their less popular but just-as-rewarding other work.
Go for it.
