Blast Tyrant Is The Latest (2004) In A Line Of Sup
Blast Tyrant is the latest (2004) in a line of superb albums from the truly under-rated pure rock band that is Clutch. This band seems to shy from publicity, and even from headlining gigs, so don't feel bad if you have no idea who they are. But you will feel better when you do.
Blending loud energetic rock, blues style rhythm, and a heavy dose of mythological lyrics, Blast Tyrant never gets dull. 'The Mob Goes Wild' offers satirical, political insights in to American life, that you just won't be able to stop yourself dancing to. While tracks like 'Ghost' and 'La Curandera' are more like short stories than songs. All of this is delivered by incredibly talented musicians and a singer whose voice is strong, gravelly and well, unique. If you want music that plays to your imagination not just your ears, then this album is for you.
