To Be Honest, If You Haven't Heard The Single, Shu
To be honest, if you haven't heard the single, shut your eyes and think of Two become One, and you won't be far away.
Like much of the later work they did before they split, Baby starts, Ginger joins in, Scary does a few throaty bits, Posh sings (!) a couple of lines in the second verse to keep her happy and Sporty sings the jaunty riff in the middle. - You get the picture.
Its an okay ballad, if you like that sort of thing, but I would have preferred them to come back with a bang, working with up to the minute song writers and producers and re-invigorated old and new listeners to jump on the Spice Bus !!!
Overall its disappointing.....but its for Children In Need so lets give them a chance!!

Whilst The Vocals On This Track Really Are Lacking
Whilst the vocals on this track really are lacking (Mel b really should have taken lead over Geri) this song is a classic. The track misses the instant grab of previous spice ballads such as goodbye and 2 become 1 but still has all the hallmarks of pop at its most refined. We should never forget how these 5 girls changed the face of music and whilst it's all too easy to write them off as a bubblegum hype, they rightly deserve a place in history and time will tell.
Headlines Sounds Just Like The Spice Girls Of 10yr
Headlines sounds just like the spice girls of 10yrs ago only someone forgot to tell them they're now 10yrs older. An overproduced poor excuse for a single just doesn't cut it anymore when you have seriously good international bands out there vying for airtime.
After forcing myself to listen to this in its entirety, i only have one question left; how in the world are these five egos-on-legs going to cut it in a live gig when you can't decipher the airbrushing in this single from the real voices???
The only reason i would recommend it to someone is because they wouldn't believe me if i tried to describe how truly awful it is.
