Hanson Go

Hanson have sold millions of albums throughout the world. They have battled record executives for power over their music and have established their own record company, 3CG, to release their own material. Their first independent album was amazing and very well known for an independent record. Being such a long time between tracks usually has a bad effect on a band, not this one.

Over the past two years the boys have grown up, got married and started families. In the first single, Go, from the second independent CD, The Walk, you can defiantly see the mature changes in the brothers, since Lost without Each Other was released nearly two years ago. Middle brother Taylor doesn't sing lead on this track, which is a first for a single. His younger sibling, Zac, is given the lead and it is great to see him proving he has much talent as his older brothers. Both lyrically and musically, the song has a much more mature sound. It begins with piano and guitar before the calm drumbeats kick in. Everyone was expecting something a little more upbeat, something a little more like previous Hanson songs we have come to love and end up humming along to. This track is very slow, tranquil and to be honest, a let down for a comeback track a great song all the while. Hopefully the album, released April 30th, will be full of great up beat songs, and soothing ballads as their previous albums have been. Welcome back to the charts lads!
