Bon Iver is not afraid to use what he has... his vocals and guitar work in this song, Skinny Love, makes me think of a genuinely rugged man, that is lost in love and regret. His lyrics are relatable too! The entire album, For Emma, Forever Ago - is an album that should be added to your music library if you love indie music. It's different, but it is real music. You never get sick of hearing the songs on his album. Some say he locked himself in a cabin in the forest and wrote this album. Whether the story is true or not, the album creates and paints that picture for sure! Nostalgic times are best accompanies by a great album and this is one that would suit that mood. You can even make out what every word is that is sung. Very cleverly structured in terms of lyrics and the mood of the melodies. Might become your favorite album of all time! And he's not too bad looking himself.
