First Off One Can't Help But Notice The Great Sax
First off one can't help but notice the great Sax solos and very tight rhythm section in Tabitha Elkins' Snowing in July. The vocals range from the romantic "Lover Man" to the bluesy "Lord Above" or the bouncy title track. Boppy jazz piano comping, Horace-Silver style, although Production could've been better. The bass is sometimes undermixed.
Swinging jazz for fans of hardbop and vocal jazz.
