Wedding Present, Take Fountain - All hail the return of the mighty Wedding Present!!! It's like it's 1992 all over again!!! Three cheers for David Gedge, the master of jangly indie guitars!!!
In all seriousness, as much as I liked Cinerama, it was with a lot of cheering and excitement in my house that the news of a new Wedding Present album was greeted and Take Fountain does not disappoint. It is, indeed, truly a Wedding Present album featuring the trademark Weddoes guitar sound alongside lyrics about doomed and failed relationships and great song titles such as "I'm From Further North Than You." It's a shame that Gedge had to suffer yet another painful breakup, but hey, at least we punters got a brilliant album and a Wedding Present tour out of the deal!
