On first listen I wasn't overly impressed with "And The Glass Handed Kites," as it's quite a different sound from what came before. So I stopped listening to it and returned to their previous work. A few months after I decided I'd give it another listen and found myself warm to it instantly. Tracks such as "Special," "Why are you looking grave?" and "Apocolypso" are very catchy and all worthy of being singles, very much in the emo-pop genre. Other songs are much more delicate and layered "Saviours of Jazz Ballet (Fear Me, December)" and "Louisa Louisa." I'm not entirely sure why they haven't hit the mainstream yet as their "epic-emo-pop" would surely chart well.
