Klaxons, Myths Of The Near Future Has Definitely B

Klaxons, Myths Of The Near Future has definitely been a grower for me. As a non enthusiast of the hyperbole that is the British music press I didn't immediately warm to this band, however on listening to the album I cannot deny that these guys are actually quite good. The album is much more diverse than I thought; Atlantis to Interzone manages to mash up early 90's rave with eighties funk and indie with it's screaming sirens and electro guitars, whereas Golden Skans is an undeniable epic of a tune with heavy keyboards and moving vocal harmonies. Great album overall, every song carries their distinctive dance influenced punky sound but differs in mood.

All in all, they may be the most over talked about band of the year but I can definitely see what the fuss is about
