Garbage ' S Cd, Bleed Like Me (released In 2005) I

Garbage ' s CD, Bleed Like Me (released in 2005) is a wonderful addition to their collection of alternative/electronica rock. The songs range in topics from relationships to addictions and disorders. They ' re far from their start in Madison, Wisconsin with 5 CD releases under their belts. They first debuted in 1995 with their self titled album, Garbage, which was followed by Version 2.0 (1998), beautifulgarbage (2001), Bleed Like Me (2005), and Absolute Garbage (2007). They ' ve toured 4 times and have been nominated for 6 Grammy awards in many rock titles, for 2 brit awards, 11 MTV music video awards (and won break through artist 1995), and many other awards around the world while winning two BMI awards for best pop song in 1997 and 2000. The CD Bleed Like Me showcases more of Garbage ' s unique alternative/electronica sound. Shirley Manson ' s sweetly electronic vocals along with Duke Erikson, Steve Marker, and Butch Vig. Together they make a pretty awesome record. Garbage ' s sound and lyrics have always been a little twisted. Their songs talking about relationships and the matters of love (in a much twisted sense of the word) showcase what Shirley Manson ' s vocals can do. In "Run Baby Run" she talks about love and life. "Love can be so strange/ Don't it amaze you?/ Every time you give yourself away/ It comes back to haunt you/ Love's an elusive charm and it can be painful/ To understand this crazy world" she states that love is kinda crazy but it has this charm about it that ' s irresistible. In ' Bleed Like Me ' she talks about how these different have all these issues such as anorexia, transexuality, cutting, suicide, depression, and alcoholism. It ' s kind of a twisted little song that is put to a semi-happy electronic sound. Shirley's voice seems to add this sound that makes it seem sweet with a little something mixed in. The lyrics, "you should see my scars" adds almost a risking feel, like she ' s just daring you to try and understand what she ' s been through. All in all, Garbage ' s CD Bleed Like Me is a perfect addition to Garbage ' s already vast collection of twisted love songs and darings to look into something that may disturb you, just a little.
