Colourkinesis, Step Into The Sun Contains 6 Tracks
Colourkinesis, Step Into The Sun contains 6 tracks and is an ideal mix of up-tempo and ballads.
The 3 new tracks could all stand as singles in their own right, none of them are "fillers". The re-recorded track is an excellent version of an old favourite but now features the new band members.
I can't wait for a full length album from this band

Hailed As One Of Britain's Best Upcoming Rock Band
Hailed as one of Britain's best upcoming Rock bands, Colourkinesis provide some of the most sincere rock ballads, which will melt even the most hardened of hearts. Steve and Sophie's vocals are not only powerful, but at the same time emotive and lyrically meaningful.
Anyone who says they are a lover of Rock and Indie music will undoubtedly love the sound of Colourkinesis.
In 2004, after only 12 months together Colourkinesis released their EP 'Time Will Find a Healer'.
Released in 2005, Sex, Drugs N Lies shows how they grow stronger with each EP release. Their live tours are not to be missed. Live, this band excels, and they continue to impress their already massive following.
They have grown so much since the release of their first EP; which in itself was a fantastic debut. The maturity shown in their latest tracks such as Step Into The Sun, which is the title track to their latest EP, released in April 2006, will leave you craving more of the same. This is such a magnificent EP, and Steve, Sophie, Gary, Marcy and JP have mastered their craft to perfection.
Colourkinesis have just completed their third tour of the UK. In the 3 years they have been together, Colourkinesis have not only supported some of the UK's biggest bands, they also reached number 1 in the Independent Worldwide Radio charts in 2005. Love Won't Wait is currently Number 1 on Aiiradio's Internet Top 40. This follows last years Number 1 Annie Don't Listen, and Number 2 Amanda. This is a fantastic achievement, and it proves that they are one of a handful of bands that have what it takes, to not only impress anyone who hears their music for the first time, but continue to rapidly increase their loyal fan base by a staggering amount.
It is refreshing to come across a band that can stand up and be counted for the talent that each individual member of the band possesses. There is no hiding behind the front-man here. Each and every member of this band has exhaustive talent.
You can hear some of their tracks on their website at www.colourkinesis.co.uk. You can also buy their EP's and other merchandise from here.
I love their latest EP, and it has to be one of the best EP's I have heard in a long time. I challenge anyone, whatever genre of music they like, to not enjoy at least one of Colourkinesis' tracks, and I personally can't wait to hear more from them in the future.
Thanks for your comments. I just wanted to add that my review isn't a press release. I am a genuine fan of Colourkinesis and many other bands. I added a link to the Colourkinesis website for anyone who wanted to listen to their music, so that anyone reading the review would be able to decide for themselves who they sound like. I personally think they have a distinct sound of their own, and I tried to avoid comparing them to anyone, but if I was pushed to compare them to another band, I would probably say Oasis.
The Step Into The Sun EP contains the following tracks:-
1. Step into the sun
2. Mullet song
3. Whats in a word like love?
4. Sex Drugs 'n' Lies
5. Feels alright
6. Church by the sea
Hope this helps x
Great live band. I have taken friends along to gigs and they have all loved it too. Really well polished performance at Riga.
Sorry, but what do they sound like? What songs are on the EP? This sounds like a press release.
