Blondie, Eat To The Beat Review - Blondie Was The
Blondie, Eat to the Beat Review - Blondie was the punk/new wave band that was unapologetic blending different styles into the typical punk movement. The result, however, is an album that pushes the New Wave movement to the forefront. Eat to the Beat borrows liberally from other ground-breaking artists, namely Bob Marley, Donna Summer, Giorgio Moroder, and the Sex Pistols. The result are some of the strongest new wave compositions ever created. Die Young Stay Pretty combines the reggae beat with a James Dean punk attitude. Atomic continues the fusion of disco and techno, like Blondie's previous efforts such as Heart of Glass and their cover of Summer's I Feel Love. Dreaming and the title track are more, straight forward punk cuts that Blondie became most famous for with their earliest releases. This was Blondie's 4th album.
