Great Solo, Good Overall Song, Also On The Mission

Great solo, good overall song, also on the Mission Impossible 2 soundtrack. Once again, a real great piece of music.

Metallica, Has Of Late, Become A Band That One Lov

Metallica, has of late, become a band that one loves or loves to hate. Lots of people hold grudge against the thrash metal innovators for going commercial. Others though, who have more rock oriented tastes seem to cherish the band for what they've become.

Whatever your opinion might be, I'd say both parties, or anyone inbetween, would agree that this is one of Metllica's better post Black album songs. "I Disappear" is one of those songs that is sweet and to the point, which contains some cool guitar riffs, some nice vocals (which have almost a bit of a southern rock feel),and nice atmospheric distortion and effects especially during the chorus.

I still though would not call this Metallica's best. They've just done quite a bit better. I personally perfer the thrash metal Metallic of "Kill em' All", "Ride The Lightning", "Master of Puppets", and ."..And Justice For All", but that's not all I refer to. Even while being a rock band Metallica has really shown they can do better than this particular. Prime examples being "Metallica" (The Black Album), "Bleeding Me", "Outlaw Torn", "Fixxer", and from what I've heard, thus far, some of the tracks off their newer "St. Anger" album.

"I Dissapear" isn't a bad song, I suppose just nothing I find overly special. I'd though still personally buy it, cause I do enjoy the song when I'm in that particular mood. It's though generally a piece of music I could live without, in retrospect. If you're looking for a solid rock song, and don't mind it being a bit generic than this what you seek.

Finally! Metallica Have A Proper Song Of Recent Y

Finally! Metallica have a proper song of recent years. I am a huge fan of their old work, not the new so much, however this song has hooked me with an awesome bass line and guitar riff. It's a plain and simple metal song with good lyrics. Not as good as other, older songs but still one of the best and one of my faves!
