Black Sabbath, Dehumanizer - Dehumanizer Is The Ve
Black Sabbath, Dehumanizer - Dehumanizer is the very epitome of heavy metal. A perfect, classic, head-banging, orgy fest in many ways. Zepplified Bonham-style clashy drums by Vinny Appice, pumping power bass riffs by Geezer combined with Dio's ferocious, ripping vocals. I mean: all band members really go some on this album! Ronnie sounds, almost, in pain at times; this is undoubtedly the best work he's ever produced.
The album's a long gone era of no nonsense, melodic hard-rock which literally makes your ears bleed. The sort of marvel which inspired countless teens to learn guitar & astound all the Tommy Vance's of this great musical era. An absolute must-have for any serious metal fan, it`s literally begging to be played loud.
This album, sadly, being Dio's last visitatation with Iomi & the Sabbath boys, certainly seems forgotten, lots of material reminiscent/shaping Dio's early solo career (Holy Diver).
Dehumanizer isn't as polished as any typical Dio album with a lack of symphonic but perhaps it's that raw edge which contributes & seemingly makes the whole album somehow... less "big hair"?
The opening track `Computer God` is the preface for the ear slaughter within. Some great harmonics and a serious pace shift change halfway through- a blinding, fret burning Iomi experience with accompanying drums that sound like they're literally about to be destroyed. Almost `smoke` coming off this thing...Long live the metal midget & his bizarre wizardry ways. A diamond in the waste.
.Point of interest - a more polished version of TV crimes featured in Wayne's World.
