Overall, I Think Me And My Gang By Rascal Flatts S
Overall, I think Me And My Gang by Rascal Flatts still produced an above average album for typical country music. It may not be as great as previous albums, but it has some great points.
Some controversy has been made about the title track being a rip off on Big & Rich's single "Comin' to your City." I listened to both trying to catch the correlation, but really found very few similarities except perhaps the tempo. I personally think Rascal Flatts is a much more talented band then Big & Rich, and their music styling is much different. It is hard to imagine these two songs being compared, but that is just me. On a lighter note I really enjoyed their title track and thought it put a little bit of a different face on the group.
This album has some fun, some humor, some heartwrenchers and a lot of sappy ballads. I have found that a lot people either love it or hate it. I commend this work and say that I would buy the CD, however, I would recommend anyone to listen to it on internet streams and make sure you like it before you buy it. I look forward to seeing what the band turns out next.
