With "the Redneck Riviera" Cd Single, Bertie Higgi

With "The Redneck Riviera" CD single, Bertie Higgins has thrown a party that nobody would be able to resist attending. This is the first time I've heard Higgins since his early '80s hit "Key Largo," and the long years in between have not rusted any of the man's talents. In fact, he sounds reinvigorated. Kicking out the jams with a scorching electric guitar and jubilant fiddles galore, "The Redneck Riviera" finds Higgins completely inspired. You can almost imagine the kegs of beer crashing to the floor, young ladies in short skirts dancing about, the smell of Cajun food. Higgins is having an absolute blast of a time, and he's inviting everybody to join him. There's been too much seriousness in rock & roll lately. It's time to lift up the iron curtain and let this intoxicating burst of sunshine wipe away the gloom. (http://www.bertiehiggins.com)
