Dani Wilde 'in The Mood' Review - Well, To Start O
Dani Wilde 'In The Mood' review - Well, to start off with, she's got a brilliant voice, which is what sold it to me. Really it all works well, there's a nice variety of moods to the different songs (and some interesting lyrics too. Testify's gotta be one of the best protest songs I've heard in a long time) Overall a very good album, and a promising start. More of the same, please!

Dani Wilde 'in The Mood': This Is Dani Wilde's Fir
Dani Wilde 'In The Mood': This is Dani Wilde's first EP release and it is a 'must' for any blues fan. The EP can be bought online from her website. The EP features a fantasic cover of John Lee Hookers 'In The Mood' as well as two of her own tracks. MP3 samples of the tracks can also be heard on the website. Dani Wilde's voice is astounding, with a unique raw passion and energy. Having heard this EP, I truly believe one cannot consider themselves to be a true blues fan until they add 'Dani Wilde' to their collection. Still only 19, she sings with more conviction and passion than old legends from the Missisippi Delta.
What the experts think:
"In 33 years in the music business I have never heard a British female singer of such brilliant raw talent."
- Kevin Nixon, Virgin V2 A&R Director/Manager of Kula Shaker.
"Then she releases a sort of diesel roar from her throat, pierced with little darts of high falsetto. It is like two voices. She sings the old twelve bar blues "I'm in the mood for love", whooping and slurring like an old boy from the Delta. The place goes mad, as if it can't quite believe what it's heard."
- Alan Franks, The Times Magazine, 24th July 2004.
