Teen People

Mizz is good I love the posters although they need to make it more exciting.

Teen People: Just what did I do wrong to deserve this magazine???

The magazine "Teen People" is a very entertaining magazine with lots true to life stories, such as embarassing moments (they even have a page for embarassing moments from stars!), the "Fess Up" page where people admit to the worst things they've done, etc. So it's something that I, as a teen, can relate to. It has make-up tips and fashion finds, etc., etc. But what makes it different from any other popular teen magazine? So far the TP team has proven nothing to me. There's nothing in this magazine that you couldn't find in "Cosmo Girl" "Cosmopolitan" or "YM". Another thing that I find boring is the constant stalking of the stars. They have a page called "Star Tracks" where they have a photographer follow popular stars (it's basically the same group of stars in every issue) and snap pictures of them doing anything (I believe once they had pictures of the people eating). They have another page with pictures of the stars doing random things and you can take the quiz and try and guess what they're doing. Then they also have an article that's several pages long telling random things about certain stars. You can take a quiz in every issue to find out what celebrity make-up style is most like your own, you can take a look at a certain celebrities closet, the list goes on. It may just be me, but this seems almost obsessive. I realize that in this day and age the rich and the famous are what people are interested in, but honestly! Do we need a whole magazine on it? That's what tabloids are for!

So to sum it all up, I find some of the articles in this magazine interesting, but it's nothing I would go out of my way for. Teen People is just another ordinary magazine. No masterpiece in my oppinion.
