The Trout And Salmon Angling Magazine used to be on larger pages (a few years ago) now the format of the mag is on much smaller pages and just about every second page now is an advert of some kind.
Whilst I understand that there is a great deal of revenue to made from advertising in magazines there should be more articles relating to fishing and less emphasis on buying equipment.
In general, its ok but I have opted out of subscribing and will be buying every now and then.
If I need a fishing equipment catalogue I'll contact sportfish or the likes.
The river features and reports are usually to be taken with a pinch of salt they usually sound a lot better than they actually are.
Ok for fashion fisherman who love to drool over equipment.

Recently a 4lb male pacific salmon was caught on the mighty tweed, this fish was thousands of miles away from his spawning grounds, he was caught in Galashields. There is a nice feature on this and a photograph in the September 2007.
