The Coma was perfectly cast. Carl made you feel the utter chaos he was trying to wade through in order to surface through the fog. It was an engrossing hour of thought-provoking theatre, and a welcome respite from all the comedy. I should also mention that the supporting characters were fabulous. Between them, they played a medley of characters and moved from persona to persona with ease.
Marc Bolton is the lead in the play, and he is amazing - it is verging on a one man show, with 2 other actors portraying a handful of supporting characters, but despite the gruelling amount he has throughout the entire performance, he oozes such powerful energy that you are captivated.
The snapshots of film are fabulous. They give a dramatic and very realistic vision of "the beating" - it makes you wince! It is very engaging - it made me feel what it is like to live in a world of utter turmoil and not know what is real. A little too well done for my liking - bit scary seeing into the depths of such confusion.
