Swindon, Mackenzies

I had lunch with my parents, we choose Tapas! The dishes were full of flavour and filling. The member of staff looked after us and ensured we had everything we had. His manner was pleasant and polite. The service was excellent and the atmosphere light, airy and easy.

I would definitely recommend this establishment for anyone that enjoys a variety of food and excellent value for money.

We (my parents) and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending McKenzie's to friends, family and visitors to Swindon.

Watering hole for the designer clad elite of swindon.

Based in wood street, Old Town. to be fair, one of the nicer parts of Swindon, safer to walk about than town centre.

Bog standard wooden floors, leather sofas, food served in bar on table to the right, plus upstaris dining. We ate...rissotto and chicken salad good value at £8.95 for a main and was ok, better than standard pubfood. served with by a smiling irish lad. house red 14.95 Rioja at 18.95.

Bar gets busy and the sofas in the garden are a nice idea.

Unfortunately the no smoking rules aren't enforced and the "lovely" tattoed girls on the sofas blew most of their smoke back into the open plan bar area which isn't acceptable.

Later after 10 on a friday it's full of Orange tattoed wannabe Wags and is best avoided.

Early on, seems fine for meeting up in a semi stylish drink surrounded by 30 somethings in designer gear drinking Rose.( 13.95 a bottle)

Ok for a night out, best and safest Bar in swindon. Door security very active on keeping the chavs out ...bravo !!

oh and ladies toilets were clean !!
