Manchester, 42nd Street

42s is my favourite club in manchester! There's not a bad word I could say about it. The staff are all friendly and there's always a buzzing atmosphere. Drinks and admission are usually very cheap and there's usually a guestlist deal.

If you are sick of the chart/pop rubbish that gets played in every other club and you are into indie/rock and roll then 42nd Street is the place for you. They play proper music from all different eras and genres. From the 60's right through to modern indie.

Also girls, don't worry. You don't have to kill your feet by wearing your 10 inch heels. Throw on your skinny jeans and you converse and your set to go for 42's!

Where do you start with 42's?!...It plays host to indie and alternative nights as well as live bands and gigs. The club is hugely popular amonst the student crowd (and im in there amongst the best of them- oh yes!) and despite the 'rough around the edges' look of the place it's a friendly and fun place to visit, because of the large student crowd its a guaranteed excellent night with everyone out for a drink and a boogie and with the prices of drinks catering to the student pocket (£2 vodka redbull as mentioned before) you dont have to worry about making sure youve got enough to get home and get a pizza along the way!
